- What is web hosting?
Web hosting gives you the facility to publish your web pages onto the internet, and allow visitors to access your site from a domain name such as yourdomain.com. We also provide
email services with every account, so you can accept email at your domain name and collect it from an email program such as
Eudora or Microsoft Outlook Express.

- Will I need web hosting?
Yes, only if you intend on having a domain name (IE: yourdomain.com) and publishing web pages to it for the world to view.

- How long does it take for my hosting account to be setup?
Your hosting account will be setup instantly and once approved it should be resolved and ready to use within 24 hours.
Unfortunately we no longer allow instant access without approval due to past
abuse from rogue entities.

- What is considered SPAM and why is it forbidden?
SPAM is any unsolicited email. If you are going to send email to potential
customers you should offer an 'opt-in' email list. These are lists of email addresses for people who ask to be emailed to on a specific topic, and it states that they signed up to be on that list at the beginning of the email. The action of mass mailing can slow down servers and suck up tremendous bandwidth. This action is completely forbidden on
our web server.

- Do you offer ASP?
No, we currently do not offer ASP to our clients.

- How do I upgrade or downgrade from one hosting plan to another?
You will need to contact us. There is no extra
charge, and the difference in price will be reflected on your next invoice.

- Do you provide SMTP mail support?
Yes. Your SMTP mail server will be mail.YOURDOMAINNAME.com.

- Do you allow adult content?
No. If you have content that you feel is questionable, please contact us for
approval before uploading it. Accounts found to be in violation will be
subject to suspension or possible cancellation.

- Do sub-domains cost extra to setup?
No. You can automatically set these up within your control panel.

- Is it free to upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, there is no extra charge. You will, however, have to pay the difference between plans if you choose to upgrade. If you choose to downgrade your plan, you will not receive any special discount or money back.

- Do you offer service in different languages?
Yes, we have CPanel software that supports several languages. There is a one time fee of $75.00 to add this to your account. Please

- Do you offer free domain names or domain name registration services?
No, we currently do not offer any type of domain name registration services, but
will be happy to recommend several that you can choose from. Please contact us
or post your enquiry in our support

- Are there any catches or hidden costs?
There is a one-time, non-refundable set up fee of $15. If you fail to make a
payment and your account becomes suspended, there is a $15 administrative fee
to reactivate your account. However we make every effort to contact you and
allow a grace period before deactivating an account. Other than that, there
are no other hidden costs associated with your account.

- Do you allow an IRC to be run on your servers?
No. This can degrade the reliability of the network, and puts our server at risk
for attack. Users found running IRC will be
subject to a warning, then suspension or possible cancellation.

- I want to move my domain name to you, what is the procedure?
After purchasing a web hosting plan, visit the website where you registered the domain name and look into changing the name servers. If you have questions regarding how to change your name servers, please contact your domain registrar's support team.

- Will my website ever go down?
Possibly. No one web host can truly guarantee a 100% uptime rate due to the many
variables associated with hosting technology. However, BNP Hosting does guarantee that
our server will be up 99% of the time. Situations such as Denial of Service
Attacks (DoS), hacking, or other unauthorized, deliberate interruptions in service
are typically beyond our control. We make every effort to ensure your site is
available.
